EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
or equivalent experience.
SKILLS REQUIRED: 3+ years finite element modelling experience
Apply scientific methodology to engineering problems
SKILLS OPTIONAL: Familiar with finite element analysis software such as Abaqus
Familiar with finite element mesh generation tools such as HyperMesh
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 3+ years
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:Perform finite element modelling and analysis in the field of
structural dynamics and vibration as applied to Navy platforms.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Must have professional ability to apply scientific methodology to
engineering problems, and must be a self-starter and willing to learn.
Applicants must have a high level of technical/intellectual curiosity and the ability to work
independently.
OPEN POSITION: 5; (This posting may be filled from the Intermediate or Associate level
SALARY RANGE: $80,000 TO $130,000
